The Explorer category is for anyone who wants to live the Lone Rider Trophy by Tom Barrer adventure to the full, without taking part in the competition or the rankings.
The goal is simple: experience the Trophy, without the competition.

Every day, EXPLORERS get a full GPS track from start to finish.
The difficulty matches the green level --> mostly tarmac with some easy off-road sections!
No chasing points, no strategy: just good times, miles and stunning scenery, from bivouac to bivouac!
Explorers share the landscapes, the bivouacs, the atmosphere and the big moments of the Trophy, but with more freedom and none of the pressure of competition.

You ride from home with your luggage to reach the starting bivouac! We give you the GPS track and the best places to ride through, but be aware: no support is provided for this journey!
You get to the starting bivouac however you like, whether you bring your bike in a van or fly in while we transport your motorcycle, and you enjoy the 7 days of the Trophy in EXPLORER mode.
Trophy dates:
- 18 September 2027: Admin & paperwork
- 19 September 2027: Trophy start
- 25 September 2027: End of the Trophy and closing party with concert
Journey to the start:
- 14 September 2027: from 6 am
- 17 September 2027: arrival by 8 pm at the latest
